Photography Workshop Series - The Colour Factory, Winchester
Photography Workshop Series - The Colour Factory, Winchester
A series of photography workshops designed to encourage and enhance how you see and capture the world with your camera.
Portraiture - Sunday 9th March - 10am - 1pm
Learn the required techniques and approach to create considered images of others.
Landscapes & Gardens - 13th July - 10am - 1pm
Exploring the local area, learning how to capture it’s subtle beauty.
Street Photography & Architecture - 14th September - 10am - 1pm
Exploring the streets of Winchester, considering how to approach taking photos in public spaces to tell stories.
Fine Art & Still Life - 16th November - 10am - 1pm
Capturing beauty and considering how we can use photography for personal expression.
Within each session we will explore our particular theme, finding inspiration in example images and photobooks, before working both individually and in pairs/groups to create new work and inform broader discussions about photographic techniques and ideas. We will then have time to review and evaluate the images that have been made and consider how to develop our approach in the future.
You will be required to bring your own camera, whether that’s a DSLR, mirrorless or your phone. Preferably you would have a camera that has the potential for full manual controls, but if you are confident using your phone, that will be sufficient.
Workshops are designed to be suitable for all levels and abilities. I will be able to offer bespoke advice and support for each photographer dependent on individual needs, including the basics of exposure and how to set up your camera to photograph the relevant theme. At the end of the workshop you will have created a new collection of images as well as learnt the required skills in order to continue photographing in your own time.
Workshops will take place between 10am - 1pm at The Colour Factory, Gordon Rd, Winchester SO23 7DD (parking available at the River Park Car Park)
This course is intended for adults and each session has a maximum capacity of 10.
You can book on for single workshops or for all four at a discount of 10%
